Materials and construction… they’re the two main elements of intrigue which inspire me.
I’ve not yet become blasé about the way rush behaves when moistened and “mature”, nor tired of the way in which fruit nets can be the core for coiling, nor weary of the wondrous world of pattern and twilling. Endless Opportunities… The challenges, skill, ingenuity and spatial awareness involved in making materials do the most unlikely things, once the discipline they impose has been mastered, is a great adventure.
